Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link

Clean energy and fast internet for the North

The Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link will be one of the most momentous “firsts” in the history of Nunavut: First large-scale alternative to diesel power. First delivery platform for high-speed fibre-optic internet. First land-based infrastructure link to southern Canada.

When completed, more than 1,200 kilometres of 150MW line will run from northern Manitoba to five communities in the Kivalliq. Sakku and KIA are driving the project through complete ownership of Nukik Corporation, which is overseeing development and implementation.

The project will be a game-changer to reduce environmental risk, improve public services and make the region more attractive for business growth. For more information: visit www.nukik.ca
